Gretchen Koitz

Principal | KoitzGroup @ Long & Foster Real Estate Inc.

Gretchen Koitz understands that a property, regardless of its price, holds and reflects a lifetime investment for each client.  Because of this, hands-on service and establishing client relationships are the principles by which she practices real estate sales.  She consistently represents a broad spectrum of buyers and sellers, from those selling and seeking multi-million dollar estates to those in the moderately priced home market. In 2007 Gretchen received Long and Foster’s Masters Club award for her outstanding production level and for the high praise that she consistently receives from her clients.

Almost a native of the Washington, D.C. area, Gretchen has lived in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C. since she was four years old. In her other lives, Gretchen worked on Capitol Hill as an administrative assistant to a Member of Congress, in a non-profit agency monitoring state and federal elections, and at a private school in the development office. Gretchen has over 20 years experience in residential real estate. While consistently ranking in the top 1/2% of all Realtors nationwide, Gretchen also volunteers her time and shares her expertise as the Director of New Agent Training in the highest grossing office on the East Coast (over $1 billion in sales for the past 5 years).

Kevin Koitz

A washington DC native, Kevin grew up in Chevy Chase View in Kensington. In high school, he attended Georgetown Day school in Northwest, DC. An avid soccer player, Kevin was recruited to play at Stanford University. While in the heart of Silicon Valley, he took great interest in the blossoming Internet start-ups. He decided to pursue a degree in e-commerce and marketing while minoring in Spanish. After graduating in 2002, Kevin joined Gretchen, and started applying some of the same successful marketing models he had studied and witnessed first-hand to real estate. What has evolved is a program of highly successful customized marketing campaigns.  With over 5 years of experience (20 years, by osmosis through Gretchen’s work J), Kevin’s tremendous success speaks to his people skills and his quick grasp of this complicated business.  While specializing in residential sales, Kevin is also involved in development projects in both D.C. and Montgomery County.

Penelope Frissell

This California native brings a West Coast eye to East Coast real estate. Prior to joining Long & Foster and the Koitz Group, Penelope was Operations Manager for a well known local title company and has extensive experience in all phases of real estate transactions. Earned through years of real estate settlement work, Penelope maintains a roster of trusted contacts and colleagues that ensures a smooth, targeted and well-planned purchase or sale. It is because nothing is left to chance that Penelope has been recognized as an award winning agent, based on both volume and client satisfaction.
