DC Metropolitan Local Information

Washington, DC consists of four quadrants and a myriad of neighborhoods. Each has its own unique flavor and it’s great fun to find that special place where you will most feel at home. Choose from the hustle and bustle of Penn Quarter area with it’s fun restaurants, theatres and proximity to the Convention Center. Settle in on Capitol Hill, where the power of government is at your doorstep – yet there is a tremendous neighborhood feel. Live close to the National Zoo in an elegant brownstone-type townhome or enjoy life in Kalorama in one of the many New York style coop buildings. There are many more choices and truly a lifestyle to match practically any personality.

Bordering Washington, D.C. at it’s southern border and Frederick at it’s north, Montgomery County covers both a large geographical area and an opportunity for diverse lifestyles. In downtown Bethesda, Silver Spring, parts of Chevy Chase, and Rockville, there is a true urban feel and it’s possible to depend on the metro instead of on your car. In all three of these areas, you’ll find wonderful single family homes as well as townhomes and condos. There are locations where there exists a “small town” feel (even though you’re close in) and these include Takoma Park, Kensington and Garrett Park. The Potomac area can accommodate buyers looking for large lots and homes, as well as those interested in neighborhoods that were developed in the 1960s. There’s a lot to learn…and a lot of good choices!
