Silver Spring Overview
Silver Spring is situated just outside of Washington D.C. and is known to be a thriving, economic, and diverse city. This city is home to such companies as Discovery Communications and great entertainment venues such as the American Film Industry's Silver Theatre. Silver Spring real estate features an eclectic variety of older character homes combined with beautiful newer developments and properties. As one of the major population centers in Maryland, Silver Spring boasts an excellent transportation system that includes MARC Trains, Metrorail and Metrobus. This area is also host to several beautiful parks that offer hiking, biking and a variety of other recreational facilities.
Silver, MD Spring Real Estate Prices & Information
Close to the city center there is a great selection of vintage homes that have been immaculately well maintained and many have been completely renovated to more modern standards. Moving further out from the city core there are newer developments including a variety of brand new condo and townhome communities as well as newer homes. The homes that reside closer to the city core usually start in price around $400K and can range anywhere up to $1 million for the more luxurious homes. The outlying homes start at about the same price and range anywhere up to $700K.
