Downtown Bethesda has quickly become a destination area that is known for its great restaurants, boutique shopping, live music venues, movie theatres, easy metro access and great housing options. As recently as the early 1990s, the very popular block on Woodmont (between Elm and Bethesda) was truly still a sleepy corridor.
